Quick answers
Everything you need to know before joining
Here are the questions we are asked most often about classes, fees, uniform, trials, shows and how the school works.
Joining & trials
Getting started
Do you offer free trials?
Yes. We offer a free trial for all of our classes so students can try the class before enrolling.
How do I book in?
You can complete the contact form on our website, email us at rachael@rachaelreynoldsdance.com, or WhatsApp us on 07878 161246.
Contact us here and we’ll help you find the right class.
Do I have to wait for a new term to join?
No. Students can join at any time, provided there is a space in the class. If the class is full, we can add you to the waiting list or suggest another suitable class.
Fees & payments
How payments work
How long are the classes?
Most classes are 45 minutes long. Musical theatre, senior and adult classes are usually 60 minutes long.
How much do classes cost?
45-minute classes cost £7 per class. 60-minute classes cost £9.33 per class.
When do I pay?
Fees are charged on a subscription basis on the 1st of each month.
How are fees calculated?
Classes run for 38 weeks of the year. We divide the total annual class cost by 12 to create an even monthly subscription amount.
Do I have to give notice to leave?
Yes. One month’s notice is required if a student wishes to leave the school.
Please see our Terms & Conditions for the full details.
Classes & attendance
What to expect
Can I stay and watch the class?
Parents and carers are welcome to stay and watch during a free trial. Once a student is enrolled, we operate a drop-off and collect-at-the-end policy.
This helps students focus, build confidence and settle into class independently.
Where are classes held?
All of our regular classes are held in Caterham, Surrey. After-school clubs take place in school halls.
For student safety, specific venue details are shared privately after enquiry.
Uniform & clothing
What students should wear
What should I wear to class?
For a trial, students should wear something comfortable that they can move in easily, such as leggings or tracksuit bottoms, a comfortable top and trainers, bare feet or tap shoes depending on the class.
Do you have a uniform?
Yes. Uniform is required for all enrolled students. A T-shirt fee is added to the first month’s subscription for any student joining.
Further uniform and merchandise can be purchased through the shop.
Shows, exams & holidays
Performances and term time
Do you run classes during the holidays?
No. Regular weekly classes run during term time only.
Do students take exams?
No. We do not put students through dance exams.
Do you do shows?
Yes. We work towards a summer showcase every July, which takes place in a 630-seat theatre.
